Wrongful Death Car Accident Modesto Settlement – $2,900,000

$2,900,000 – A person was operating a vehicle containing three other passengers. The driver was going at an excessive rate of speed on a country road when the driver came upon a canal bank which caused the driver to lose control and ultimately, an accident. Two passengers were declared dead at the scene while the third passenger lost his life days later in the hospital. Per a vehicle section code, the driver was found at fault due to the other passengers not having proper safety belts fastened. The driver was further declared at fault and liable for all drivers are responsible for passengers with no factors of age, abilities and coherency. The family of one of the deceased filed a wrongful death suit which amounted to a grant of $2,900,000.
